Darts’ development has mirrored that of sports such as golf or more clearly tennis. But the role of manufacturers has been greater than usual. The movement of players, staff, officials and others between companies or even codes often tells much more than its own story. Perhaps one day we’ll have a transfer window and see the head of Winmau or Unicorn speaking to Sky Sports out of his/her car window on January 31st.
