Fun First For Beau

Beau Greaves is placing enjoyment firmly at the top of her criteria for planning her complex darting schedule in 2024:

“…I like playing ladies darts. For me, I’m more inclined to choose that direction instead of playing against the men.”

Beau Greaves insists enjoyment remains the driving factor behind where she plays her darts.

The 20-year-old has embarked on several new challenges so far in 2024, with successful forays onto the PDC Development Tour and MODUS Super Series.

Her dominance has continued on the women’s circuit, winning two Women’s Series titles along with five tournament victories in the WDF system, including the Dutch and Denmark Opens.

But it is her appearances in different surroundings that have captured the attention of darts fans, with the two-time and reigning women’s world champion making her mark with a record-breaking Super Series debut and several deep runs on the premier tour in youth darts.

The ‘Beau Greaves darts schedule’ is still subject to change as more and more opportunities crop up, including an appearance in the Super Series Champions Week, but she is clear on what will decide where we see her toeing the oche.

“I try and write it all out and sometimes things pop up where I have to make a decision, like when stuff clashes,” Greaves said.

“I always put it down to what I will enjoy more. Like with the Denmark Open and the Development Tour on the same weekend, I decided I’d probably enjoy the Denmark Open more, and that’s why I went with that.

“Once I want to commit myself fully to the Development Tour, I’ll make sure I play in all the competitions and pick that over the WDF stuff.

“It’s a hard one because I like playing ladies darts. For me, I’m more inclined to choose that direction instead of playing against the men.”

In late April, Greaves made her long-awaited debut in the Super Series and quickly wrote her name in the record books, becoming the first player to go an entire week without losing a game, and also the first female player to win a week of the competition.

“I was meant to play in it a lot longer before now, but the timing just didn’t work out,” she said.

“I didn’t want to lose all my games. I just wanted to win one game and go from there. I did that and before I knew it, I’d won all my games on the first night and the second night.

“It’s absolutely brilliant. To be the first lady to win a week is a great achievement as well. I’m just over the moon.”
