RIP Pat Williams: Former PDC Official and Statistician

We note the sad passing of another of those unsung heroes (or heroines) who helped to build today’s darting ecosphere when it was not always easy or popular to be part of the PDC ( WDC). The PDC expressed it’s sadness:

The Professional Darts Corporation is saddened to learn that former statistician Pat Williams passed away on Tuesday.

Pat was one of the staff members involved in the PDC’s formative years, working primarily as the official scorer & statistician for televised events in the days before digital dart-by-dart scoring.

She also worked as an official on the PDC circuit alongside husband Freddie – a referee who was inducted into the PDC Hall of Fame upon his retirement in 2006.

Freddie passed away in 2017, and Pat had since moved from Essex to south-west England to be closer to her family.

All at the PDC send their condolences to Pat’s family & friends, who have asked that any donations in her memory be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
